About 100 people gathered for an uncoordinated rally in support of Furgal in Khabarovsk

KHABAROVSK, October 11. / TASS /. About 100 people came out on Sunday to an uncoordinated rally in support of the arrested former governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Sergei Furgal. They gathered in front of the regional government building in Khabarovsk, the city administration told TASS.
“There are about 100 people in the square,” the press service said.
On the eve of the day’s uncoordinated rally in support of Furgal gathered about 500 people. After the rally and procession, protesters pitched tents on Lenin Square in front of the regional government building. They brought powerful speakers to the tents, through which they broadcast their slogans. Law enforcement officers dismantled the tents, a conflict arose. According to the Khabarovsk administration, 25 people were detained.
In the evening, people also gathered in the square. There were no arrests.
Uncoordinated actions in support of the former governor have been taking place in Khabarovsk every day since July 11. They began after the arrest of Furgal on suspicion of organizing the murders of businessmen and attempted murder. The most numerous meetings are held on Saturdays.
