Kemerovo, 18 October 2020, 07:03 – REGNUM An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 was registered by seismologists in the Kemerovo region. This was reported on October 18 by the press service of the Altai-Sayan branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
According to seismologists, the tremor occurred at 00:20 local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located on the territory of the Prokopyevsky district. The Department for the Protection of the Population and Territory (UZNiT) of the city of Novokuznetsk confirmed the information about the seismic event.
It is noted that insignificant fluctuations of the soil were observed on the territory of Novokuznetsk. Information about the injured and damage to infrastructure facilities was not reported. Citizens of the region were advised to remain calm and leave the premises in case of repeated tremors.
