Founder of Moscow theater “Shadow”, infected with coronavirus, dies

Ilya Epelbaum, founder and artistic director of the Shadow Theater, has died in Moscow. Several days ago he was admitted to the hospital. The director was 59 years old. His friend, poet and writer Lev Rubinstein wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“There is no longer him, my friend, interlocutor, co-author, gushing with ideas more incredible than another. Awful grief for all of us – for our relatives, for friends of the “Shadow” theater, for me personally, “the art worker shared.
On October 15, Rubinstein published an open letter addressed to Epelbaum. From the text of the publication it followed that the artistic director of “Shadow” was hospitalized. “Ilya is in the hospital, in a very serious condition. Covid. But this afternoon they said that the dynamics are positive, ”the writer added in his comments.
In September, the ex-soloist of “Tender May” Alexander Priko, infected with a coronavirus, died, he was 47 years old. This was announced by his colleague Yuri Shatunov, without naming the cause of the musician’s death.
