Russian vaccines are effective against a new strain of coronavirus, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said. RIA Novosti reports.
She also noted that additional scientific studies on animals are being carried out, which will finally prove the effect of drugs against the new strain.
Golikova added that the country should move to wider vaccination of the population from the next Monday. By the end of January, she said, more than two million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will go into civilian circulation.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to begin mass vaccination against coronavirus of all citizens from next week.
