It will be possible to remove a significant part of the restrictions due to coronavirus by the beginning of the second half of 2021 or by the beginning of summer. Such terms were named by the doctor of medical sciences, infectious disease doctor Nikolai Malyshev, RIA Novosti reports on Monday, January 25.
According to him, by this time “we will recruit the necessary 60-70 percent of the vaccinated and those who have been ill and have antibodies.”
Malyshev also recalled that the coronavirus vaccine does not cancel the rule on wearing masks and social distance, since not enough Russians have immunity.
Vaccination against coronavirus in Russia began on December 5, 2020 with doctors and teachers. Mass vaccination started on January 18th. The vaccine is mainly done with the two-component drug “Sputnik V” – the world’s first registered vaccine against coronavirus.
