Iran has not named Ukraine the names of those involved in the Boeing crash that was shot down in January 2020 near Tehran. This was stated by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevgeniy Yenin on the air of the Ukraine 24 TV channel, quoted by RIA Novosti.
The diplomat also commented on the investigation into the crash. According to him, Kiev offered Tehran to jointly conduct interrogations and a number of other procedures, but was refused.
“Until now, the Iranian side has not responded positively to the mentioned propositions. Moreover, they even refuse to tell us the names of those people who are under suspicion, or people against whom the indictment will be sent to court in the near future, ”Yenin emphasized.
On January 8, 2020, the Boeing 737-800 flew from Tehran to Kiev and was shot down immediately after takeoff. All 167 passengers and nine crew members were killed: citizens of Ukraine, Iran, Canada and other countries. Iran admitted that the plane was shot down by the military by mistake. The government of the republic decided to pay compensation to the families of the victims in the amount of 150 thousand dollars.
