Russian gymnast, 2012 Olympic champion in group exercises Karolina Sevastyanova shamed poor mothers with many children and refused to help them. She explained her decision in the story of the Instagram account, answering questions from subscribers. Publications are not available at this time; Sport 24 cites their content.
So, the athlete admitted that she is engaged in charity work, but helps only those organizations that save animals. After clarifying why she does not help people, including those with many children, Sevastyanova said she didn’t want to, as she had chosen for herself what she liked and what she considered important.
“Why don’t you help mothers with many children? Is it a pity or what? ” – one of the subscribers asked her after that. In response, the Olympic champion criticized such families, noting that “the person himself made this choice and took upon himself such a responsibility” and that “we do not live in the Stone Age, where the issue of pregnancy cannot be controlled.”
“When you understand that you cannot even pull one child, why give birth to a second, third, fourth ?! Is it right in relation to children that you cannot initially give a normal future? If a person is reasonable and adequate, then before giving birth, he will think a hundred times in advance how he will support his child, in what conditions he will bring him up and what he can give him, ”Sevastyanova said.
She concluded that she should not help and be responsible for other people’s decisions, to which she has nothing to do.
In addition to the gold of the 2012 Olympic Games, Sevastyanova has two gold medals at the European Championship of the same year. The gymnast performed in the group all-around.
