The Belarusian security forces used special means against the participants of an unauthorized protest action, which takes place in Minsk on Sunday, October 18. TASS reports.
According to the agency, law enforcement officers used special means to disperse the protesters at the Belarus department store on Partizansky Avenue. In total, several pops were heard, which resembled the explosions of stun grenades.
In addition, according to RIA Novosti, security forces fired several warning shots into the air with rubber bullets after protesters threw stones at their car. The incident also took place in the area of ​​Partizansky Avenue.
Earlier it was reported that law enforcement agencies began to detain protesters. Prior to that, it was noted that on the eve of the action in Minsk, a column of military equipment and transport vehicles was sent to the Independence Palace, which is the residence of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. Several metro stations were also closed in the city center.
