The Department of Medicines and Medical Devices under the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan has registered the Russian vaccine against coronavirus Sputnik V. This was reported on the website of the department.
The ministry indicated that the registration of the vaccine in the republic will allow in the near future to vaccinate citizens for the prevention of coronavirus.
Earlier in February, it was reported that employees of the Kyrgyz embassy in Russia began to be vaccinated with a Russian drug. “Reviews of Sputnik V are good, and other countries are buying it. I think this is the right decision that the embassies were also offered to be vaccinated, ”said Chargé d’Affaires of Kyrgyzstan in Russia Aydit Erkin.
Sputnik V is the first registered Russian vaccine against coronavirus, it was created on the basis of another adenovirus in which the coronavirus gene is embedded. When it enters cells, it forms proteins in them – they cause immunity and promote the development of antibodies.
