The ex-head of the Ministry of Education of the Arkhangelsk region was sent under house arrest

The court sent under house arrest the former head of the Ministry of Education of the Arkhangelsk region, Yuri Gnedyshev, suspected of lecherous acts against minors. RBC was told about this in the press service of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Arkhangelsk Region.
“We petitioned for arrest, but the court found it possible to place him under house arrest,” the press service said.
Gnedyshev was detained on October 9. He is suspected of committing lecherous acts against two minors. According to the investigation, in 2019, Gnedyshev corresponded with two schoolgirls, “exerting a corrupting influence on them.” He sent one of them a link to a video of a sexual nature.
A criminal case was initiated against Gnedyshev under Part 3 of Art. 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (lecherous actions against two minors).
On October 8, the governor of the Arkhangelsk region, Alexander Tsybulsky, dismissed the regional government, instructing the heads of departments to fulfill their duties until the formation of a new government.
