The rise in prices in Russia in 2021 will quickly settle at the 4 percent level planned by the Central Bank. At the same time, inflation will remain at the level of 3-3.5 percent for most of the year. Such growth rates of price in an interview with RIA Novosti were predicted by the general director of the rating agency “Expert RA” Sergei Tishchenko.
According to the expert, this is due to the fact that economic activity in the country remains suppressed, and the increase in tariffs is stretched over time.
According to official data from Rosstat, in 2020 inflation in Russia amounted to 4.91 percent. At the same time, studies of the Romir holding indicate that prices for basic products and consumer goods in the country increased by 14 percent over the year.
In 2021, according to Rosstat forecasts, prices will rise by 3.5-4 percent, and according to the forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development, by 3.7 percent.
