The United States has ordered all tourists arriving from abroad by plane to take a coronavirus test. Interfax reports this with reference to the State Department.
So, all air passengers, with the exception of children under two years old, must submit a negative test for COVID-19 or a certificate of recovery from a new type of coronavirus. The regulation will enter into force on January 26 and will apply to both foreign citizens and US citizens.
The State Department also called on US citizens to reconsider the need for travel abroad and to postpone all non-essential travel.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden introduced a quarantine for air passengers arriving in the United States. The decision was made in connection with the spread of a new strain of coronavirus. “In addition to wearing a mask, anyone arriving in the United States by plane from another country will need to have a test done before landing, before departure. And also to quarantine when they arrive in America, ”the politician said.
